Hey all,
Our group is looking for a systems engineer type person in indy, if you know
anyone that might find this interesting

Perform technical tasks relating to system administration, analysis, design,
development and support of computer systems used in support of the Indiana
University Global Research Network Operations Center (GRNOC). Perform
debugging, testing and implementation of computer programs including
operating system, security patches, and network management software.
Participate in the evaluation of software and services required for GRNOC
network management, monitoring, and measurement systems. Assist in planning
and resolution; serve in an "on-call" rotation, fixing critical systems
problems that arise after normal business hours.
Qualifications:
Baccalaureate degree in computer sciences, computer technology or related
field, plus a minimum of three (3) years of work experience in systems
analysis and/or programming required. An equivalent of education and
experience may be considered in a 2:1 ratio. Knowledge of and experience in
Unix system administration, particularly Linux, is required. An
understanding of or experience in MySQL, IMAP, SMTP, HTTP server
administration highly desirable. Familiarity with SNMP, RRDtool, Nagios,
Ganglia desirable. Programming skills, especially with Perl and C, are
highly desirable. Applicant must have experience in system administration in
the Unix environment. The individual must be able to work well with little
supervision, and have good communication and analytical skills. A strong
customer orientation and enthusiasm for new technologies also required.
