Christopher Mark Conn, aka DRS Founder and List Guy

Born January 16, 1956 (same day as Connie Chan
my birthday buddy, and the day after Jim P.) in
Atlanta, Georgia, a capricorn born in the year
of the goat (who no longer believes in astrology)

Family:

Wife Lisa (26 years), 3 kids:
Ian (17), Avery (14), and Gracie (11).

We live in-between Leander and Cedar Park,
in the burbs about 30 miles north of Austin, TX

We've been here for 20+ years. Lisa and I both
grew up in Houston, met waiting in line to buy
tickets for a Bruce Springsteen concert in 1980.

Work:

IBMer doing AIX Technical Support at IBM Austin
(specifically supporting the Hardware Management
Console for system p servers and clustering systems
CSM and GPFS) 

Some college (various universities around Texas,
always part time)

Running:

I run by time, 5 days a week

Coming back after a long lay-off, trying to establish
a good base this year. Here's what I'm doing now

Mon   45 min easy
Tue   tempos
Wed   45 min easy
Thu   off
Fri   45 min easy
Sat   90 min lsd
Sun   off

Maybe by the end of the year or early next year I'll
add a speedwork day and hope to get in some races next
year. Not even thinking about marathons for a few years.

Shoes: 

ASICS Gel something, usually buy the ones for about $50

Computers:

FreeBSD 6.2 Dell Pentium III 500 mhz, an old computer
that still performs well cause it's a Unix box

What I do with my free time:

Kids, movies (on DVD and DVR), collecting music on mp3's
(my computer is my mp3 player), reading, and of course
reading my DRS mail and administering mailing lists
